Mel Gibson cameo in THE CHAIN REACTION (1980)
Most of the cast of MAD MAX pop up in this one with Steve Bisley (Goose) in the lead, Hugh Keays-Byrne (Toecutter) stealing all the best scenes and George Miller himself responsible for the car chases.
The German release plays this up a little:
It’s a lot more THE CHINA SYNDROME than MAD MAX, but there are enough goons in white jump suits and black gas-masks trying to cover things up at gunpoint to file it next to THE CRAZIES and THE CASSANDRA CROSSING.
Well worth seeking out if you haven’t yet had the pleasure.
